What we collect
When you send an enquiry. Your name and email address, plus anything else you choose to tell us: your organisation, the service you're interested in, your timing and your message. The same applies if you email us directly.
If you accept analytics. Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. Google Analytics does not store your IP address, and we have turned off Google signals and advertising features.
When you visit any page. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic browser details so it can deliver the website and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about a possible project. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or on taking steps you have asked for before entering into a contract.
To understand and improve the website. We rely on your consent, and we only collect analytics if you accept.
To run the website securely and filter out spam and misuse. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site and our inbox safe.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
Cookies and your choices
The site only sets analytics cookies if you accept them. They are Google Analytics cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, and they last for up to two years.
We remember your choice in your browser so we don't ask on every page, and we ask again after six months. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie preferences at the bottom of every page. If you decline or withdraw consent, we remove the analytics cookies.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who act on our instructions: our website host (Vercel), the email delivery service that passes form enquiries to our inbox, our business email provider, and Google for analytics if you accept. We may also share information with professional advisers, or where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, countries outside the UK, including the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries: up to two years after our last contact with you. If you become a client, we keep the information as part of our client records.
Analytics: Google Analytics keeps user-level data for 14 months.
Hosting logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, in line with its standard retention.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. You can also object to us using it, ask for a portable copy, and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
